What is bulk SMS?
Bulk SMS is sending one text message to a large list of recipients at the same time, rather than messaging people individually. It is used for promotions, alerts, reminders, and mass notifications.
How much does bulk SMS cost?
YIPSMS charges $0.032 per SMS segment and $0.055 per MMS segment with no monthly fee. Sending one single-segment text to 10,000 contacts costs $320.
How many messages can I send at once?
There is no cap built into the platform. Throughput on US numbers is governed by your registered 10DLC campaign's carrier throughput tier, which is set during registration.
What is a mass texting service?
Mass texting service is another name for bulk SMS: one platform that stores your list, sends to all of it at once, handles opt-outs, and reports on results. YIPSMS does all of that pay-as-you-go.
Do I need consent to send bulk SMS?
Yes. US law requires express written consent before sending marketing texts, and every message must offer a clear opt-out. YIPSMS appends opt-out language and processes STOP replies automatically.
Can I personalize a bulk send?
Yes. Any column in your uploaded CSV can be merged into the message, so a bulk send can still address each recipient by name or reference their last order.
